Steve and Carie are the Lead Evangelist and Women’s Leader for The Westside Church. They became Christians in the early years of the Los Angeles Church of Christ where they met in the church and married in 1994. Later that year they went into the full-time ministry and have served for over 25 years as ministers and church leaders in five different regional churches throughout the metropolitan Los Angeles area.
They have special training in college ministry as they have counseled, trained and raised up college students for God’s work for over 20 years. Carie is a native Los Angeles latina known for her exceptional hospitality, deep convictions and gift of raising up women leaders. Steve’s a UCLA grad who also holds an MA in Religious Education and Missional Leadership from Rochester University but he’d tell you his best credential is that he married Carie.
They are both avid LA sports fans cheering on the Lakers, Dodgers, Rams and UCLA Bruins. They have three Children: Nathan (11), Katelyn (20), Kyle and his wife Jasmine.
